An Aledo man has been placed on 30-months’ probation after pleading guilty to an amended charge in a Mercer County criminal case. 23 year old Benjamin T. Moushon was originally facing a Class 1 felony of criminal sexual assault stemming from a complaint that was received by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department last September, but he pled guilty today in Mercer County Circuit Court to a Class 3 felony of aggravated battery in a public place. In addition to 30-months’ probation he was also fined $500 and sentenced to 180 days in the Mercer County Jail with credit for time served.
