The Aledo Police Department has a new officer on the job. Police Chief Mike Sponsler telling the Aledo City Council last night that Seth Degelman has completed his training.

Aldermen also learned last night that the Buttonwood Trails low income rental housing project is moving forward at a rapid pace. A total of 40-units are being built near Hidden Valley on the east side of town. Ground was broken in September.  Once the project is 7 to 8 weeks from completion, applications will begin to be accepted.  The public will be notified at that time.
