The county has to transfer funds from the liability fund to the general fund to meet payroll on Friday and the board has called a special meeting on December 18th to also handle payroll if the general fund is short. The county board did table action on a five year contract at $26,000 per year for zoning officer Davina Logsdon, but approved a $92,300 salary for the county highway engineer pursuant to the State’s recommended 2013 County Engineers Salary Program. Committee reports also detailed that county nursing home, health department and hospital employees will all be given holiday bonuses.
