Five new Mercer County Board members will be seated tonight. George Howard of rural Aledo, Gary Gregg of Viola, Larry Stone and Ted Pappas of Sherrard, and Dan Schroeder of New Boston will all begin their terms after being elected last month. This is Schroeder’s second stint on the board. Also tonight, the county board will select a new chairman as current chairman Maxine Henry of Keithsburg did not win her bid for re-election last month.
