A statue honoring the legacy of Aledo’s Roosevelt Military Academy will be placed in the Aledo Central Park parking lot. The RMA Alumni Association had been considering placing the monument on the courthouse lawn, but has changed direction says cadet Mel Bogus.

The 30 foot by 30 foot marker featuring Teddy Roosevelt on a horse will be made of granite and bronze. It’s being funded by RMA alumni.
