100 Year Old Chicago Teacher With Connections To Aledo

November 13th, 2012

A 100-year old teacher in Chicago has passed away and she has connections to Aledo. Olivia Neubauer died Sunday after a brief hospital stay because of fluid on her lungs. Neubauer spent 77-years of her life in the classroom. She started teaching at Pullman Tech High School in 1935 and ended her career earlier this year at Ashburn Lutheran School on West 83rd, where she taught reading. Her first cousin is retired Aledo teacher Bob Hoffman.
