Farmers who have forest land as part of their operation may be able to save some expenses in property taxes. That’s one of the issues that will be addressed at a Forestry Field Day in lower Rock Island County. Rich Stewart with the Rock Island County NRCS office says you need a forest management plan.

The Forestry Field Day is Wednesday, October 17th from 1-to-4 p.m. at the Bill and Sarah Smet farm at 18501 81st Street, Sherrard.
