Video Gaming Up And Running In State, Soon In Aledo

October 10th, 2012

Video gambling machines across the state are starting to go live.  The Illinois Gaming Board activated the video poker machines at bars and restaurants throughout the state.  So far, they say they’ve been activated in 65 locations in Illinois, and Gene O’Shea with the Gaming Board says more are coming.

The Gaming Board has applications for about two-thousand more locations in Illinois for bars, restaurants, truck stops and VFW’s.  Illinois lawmakers approved gaming three years ago, and the money will help fund the construction projects in the state. The Aledo City Council approved a video gaming ordinance last month.
