Public transportation is available for Mercer County residents. Craig Harper of the Bi-State Regional Commission was promoting the service at this week’s Aledo City Council meeting. It’s called Rock Island and Mercer County Rural Transit.

The service runs Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Call 800-788-6308 to set up a ride.
