A University of Illinois ag communications student says her mission in life is to provide the correct message about agriculture. Junior Ellen Reeder has been doing a pretty good job of that. She has served as an intern for John Deere, Illinois State Fair Junior Department, Crop Production Services, and the U-of-I’s College of Agricultural, Consumer and Environmental Sciences. Also on her resume is serving one term as State Reporter for the Illinois FFA.

Reeder is from Kirkwood and a 2009 graduate of United High School. She recently received the Forrest Bassford Student Award at the Ag Media Summit in New Mexico–a top national honor for ag communication students.
