The Illinois State Fair has released final numbers from the Governor’s Sale of Champions earlier this week. Alexis youth Gretchen Simpson received $6,200 for her Land of Lincoln Grand Champion Wether. Wells Fargo Bank, Stone Seed Group, 1st Farm Credit, Purlee Farms, Frank Hoffreiter, Illini Sprayer and Parks Livestock team up for the purchase. Simpson is a senior at United High School.

And the Illinois Farm Bureau paid $500 to Kaitlyn Ryan of Viola for her Reserve Grand Champion Meat Goat Wether.
