18,000 Pounds Of Food Distributed To Needy Mercer County Families

Local farmers seeing the “fruits of their labor” in Western Illinois. The “Bushels for Hunger” program raises money for the Riverbend Food Bank in Moline, and this morning they distributed 18,000 pounds of food to needy families through their Mobile Food Pantry, which set up shop at Aledo Central Park. Mike Secymore of Gold Star FS participated in the effort.

Five county Farm Bureaus team up for the “Bushels for Hunger” campaign–Mercer, Stark, Whiteside, Rock Island and Henry.
