Moffitt And LaHood Not Too Impressed With Quinn’s Budget Address

State Representative Don Moffitt

Illinois Governor Pat Quinn used his budget address to scold lawmakers for not taking action on pension reform. Quinn’s budget slashes spending for education and other key programs and includes no new taxes or fees. Quinn called the ballooning pension crisis a grievous condition that threatens the fiscal health of the state. Calling for a bill that remedies the problem, Quinn asked lawmakers, “What are you waiting for?”
