Local Livestock Judging Team Picks Up Illinois Beef Expo Win

Four local youth take home the top prize in livestock judging at the Illinois Beef Expo. There were 41 teams in Springfield over the weekend, but the winner was the Mer-Roc 4H Livestock Judging Team coached by JD Schulte.

The Hank’s go to Mercer County High School, Simpson is a senior  at United High School, and Schulte is a graduate of Sherrard High School and also the current Illinois FFA Treasurer.
The second place team was also made up of local youth–Isaac Taber, Austin Hyett, Bernard Ausmus and AJ Line.
