LaHood: GOP Chair Should Have Sought Input From Party Before Supporting Gay Marriage

February 25th, 2013

The Chairman of the state’s GOP Party is still in hot water for expressing his support for gay marriage. Pat Brady called on lawmakers to support the proposal last month. It sparked outrage among several Republicans. Now, a panel will meet March 9th to discuss whether Brady should be fired. Local State Senator Darin LaHood says Brady should have sought input from party rank and file before taking a public stand on gay marriage.

LaHood voted against the gay marriage proposal in the State Senate last week.
