A Little York man has been arrested on multiple charges in Mercer County. 22-year-old Justin Melton was taken into custody yesterday. Mercer County authorities began their pursuit of him after receiving two complaints of gas thefts. Deputies were able to track him down and when they approached his vehicle, it was discovered he was armed with a large knife. Melton fled and eventually crashed his car. He was treated for minor injuries and then taken to the Mercer County Jail. Melton has been cited for felony theft, felon in possession of a weapon, aggravated fleeing and eluding and probation violation. Additional charges are pending. Charges are also pending against a woman who was in the car with Melton.
