It not only took Genesis Health System about four years to assume ownership of Mercer County Hospital, but it also took some time and energy for them to turn around the mounting financial losses at the facility. The operation was $700,000 in the red before Genesis began managing the Aledo health care provider says Genesis CEO Doug Cropper.
