Orion native Amelia Martens with her first speaking appearance as Miss Illinois County Fair Queen. She spoke at the 2013 Illinois State Fair preview today in Springfield.

Among the headline acts for the 2013 Illinois State Fair are Toby Keith, The Band Perry, Billy Currington, Gary Allan, and Thompson Square. The 2013 state fair is August 8th through the 18th. Martens was crowned Miss Illinois County Fair Queen last month after winning the Rock Island County Fair Queen title last summer.
