Rockridge Could Have Trouble Meeting Payroll By Next June

February 3rd, 2013

Unless the Rockridge School District makes some significant changes, they could have trouble meeting payroll at the end of next school year. And by 2017, their balance in all operating funds could be down to $500,000. Those numbers were shared at a recent community forum. Rockridge School Board president Dan Neneman.

And that could occur as early as June of next year. The Rockridge School District is looking at several revenue enhancements–including a propety tax referendum and a sales tax referendum. They need to cut $700,000 heading into next school year. As many as six teaching positions could be eliminated.
