Coyotes Taking A Bite Out Of Rabbit, Quail And Pheasant Populations

Wildlife is having an impact on wildlife in Western Illinois. Coyotes are taking a bite out of the pheasant, quail and rabbit population says Field and Stream expert Duke Frisby from Kewanee.

An average of 7,000 coyotes are harvested each year, according to the Illinois Department of Natural Resources. They are the only animal in Illinois where there is an open year-round hunting season.
