An Aledo man has been arrested for criminal sexual abuse. 78 year old Charles Brown was taken into custody earlier this week by Mercer County Sheriff’s Deputies. His arrest was the result of an investigation that had been coordinated with the Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Brown is being held in the Mercer County Jail on $40,000 bond. He is facing a Class 4 felony. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for January 15th.
