An Illinois City firm has been awarded a $94,000 security camera contract in the Sherrard School District. The action taken this week by the Sherrard Board of Education. FSS Inc. will install cameras at Winola Grade School, Sherrard Grade School and Matherville Intermediate and will add cameras to the Sherrard Junior-Senior High School campus. Currently the grade schools and intermediate school do not have security cameras. Life safety money will be used for the project, which will give every district building security camera access both inside and outside. The cameras can be remotely monitored from a computer or handheld device off campus.
