Cameras and microphones will be allowed in the courtroom to cover a Viola man’s case in Mercer County Circuit Court. Today, Judge Peter Church denied a defense motion objecting to extended media coverage for 44 year old James Eric Haley. He’s facing 16 felony counts in a child porn investigation. Haley remains in custody on $500,000 bond with a pre-trial conference set for Oct. 21. The case involves one victim–a 15 year old girl with alleged offenses occurring in 2014 and 2015. Haley has entered not guilty pleas to all 16 charges.
