Mercer County, Rockridge and Sherrard High Schools all hosting special Veterans Day programs. Mercer County will bring all 1,300 of its students to the high school gym Friday morning for a special assembly. Principal Stacey Day detailed the plans at a school board meeting a few weeks ago.
The Sherrard High School National Honor Society chapter is planning a Veterans Day program at 1:30 Friday afternoon. Senior Ben Kissner is helping organize the event.
And the Rockridge Choral Department will present a Veterans Day Patriotic Concert–to honor those who have served on Monday, November 12th at 12:30 p.m. in the High School Auditorium.
