The City of Aledo applying for a “Safe Routes To School” grant. If approved, the funding would pave the way for sidewalk improvements leading to the Apollo and Mercer County Intermediate School campuses says City Administrator Erin Knackstedt.
The grant request is being supported by the Mercer County School District and superintendent Scott Petrie.
The application deadline is in November with the grants announced in April.
