Monmouth Man Guilty of Mercer County Christmas Day Meth Charge

A Monmouth man found guilty of a Christmas Day methamphetamine charge in Mercer County Circuit Court. 30 year old Justin Majors will be sentenced on June 26th on the Class 2 felony. The jury returned the guilty verdict this afternoon following 40 minutes of deliberations and two days of testimony. Class 2 felonies are punishable by up to seven years in prison. Earlier in the day the court did grant Majors’ attorney direct verdicts on stolen vehicle, controlled substance and drug paraphernalia charges. Majors has been in custody on $20,000 bond since his arrest last December 25th.
