It’s now $14,000 and counting for an academic foundation now operating in the Mercer County School District. And alumni from all of the former schools included in the consolidated school district are being contacted to see if they’d like to help out. Stephanie Braucht of Joy is on the academic foundation board.
In addition to an endowment scholarship program, the foundation will also provide classroom grants for teachers. The official name of the foundation is the Mercer County Schools Excellence in Education Foundation. Click here for brochure.
