Weekend Rains Stall Planting In Western Illinois

Mercer County Farm Bureau president Michael Zecher

Planting was rolling along at a good pace in Western Illinois until heavy rains moved through over the weekend. Mercer County Farm Bureau president Michael Zecher on his progress so far.

Other than stalling planting, the weekend rains haven’t caused significant problems.

And Zecher is keeping a close eye on the markets.  He says it was nice to see a little rally on Monday.

Zecher doesn’t anticipate any re-planting as a result of last weekend’s rains.
