Training On Opioid Issue Offered In Mercer County Next Week

A local training session on the national and state opioid epidemic will be held next week at the Aledo Fire Station. Jen Hamerlinck with the Mercer County Health Department is helping promote the effort.

The health department is partnering with Eagle View Community Health System and the Robert Young Center for the training, which is funded through a federal grant.
Also recently, WRMJ News Director Jim Taylor spoke with the Director of the Illinois Department of Public Health–Dr. Nirav Shah about the state’s Opioid Data Dashboard. The tool provides an interactive map—breaking down the issue by county and even by zip code.

You can find the state’s Opioid Data Dashboard by clicking here.
