Sherrard School District Back To Traditional Calendar This School Year

sherrard school signFor the first time in nearly ten years, the Sherrard School District is going back to a traditional school calendar. The Unit 200 Board of Education approved the change last year, meaning school will start on August 18th with a traditional two-week Christmas break and one-week spring break in March. Sherrard had been operating under an academically balanced calendar since the 2005/2006 school year. Under the academically balanced calendar, school started in early August with two, two-week intersessions in the fall and spring, plus a Christmas break.
