A statewide increase in farmland assessments should have a positive impact on Mercer County School District tax revenues.

Superintendent Alan Boucher says farmland assessed value totals $52-million in the Mercer County School District, which equates to a market value of just over $150-million. A 10-percent increase would equate to another $5.2 million in assessed value.
