Keithsburg Woman Has Probation Added To Meth Sentence

A former Keithsburg woman serving six-years in prison in a 2011 methamphetamine case, has had two-years probation added to her sentence. 56 year old Cindy Stewart pled guilty yesterday in Mercer County Circuit Court to a Class 3 felony count of perjury. Stewart was found guilty of a Class X felony meth count by a Mercer County jury in June of 2011. She was accused of operating a meth lab out of her Keithsburg home with her husband, 61 year old James Stewart. He was also convicted in the case and is serving ten-years in prison.
The perjury charge accused her of lying at her trial about having no contact with her husband.
She is currently in custody at the Decatur Correctional Center. And James Stewart is incarcerated at the Sheridan Correctional Center.
