The second and final installment of 2017 payable 2018 Mercer County real estate taxes due later this week. An update from Mercer County Treasurer Bev Lower after last night’s Mercer County Board meeting.
The first installment was due back on June 29th.
In a separate issue, the county board last night did approve repayment of funds to the Sherrard TIF district. Lower says taxing bodies were incorrectly overpaid.
Lower says the over-payment accumulated from 2010 to 2014 and equates to a repayment from the Sherrard School District back to the Sherrard TIF district of around $160,000.
